Mandy Barclay

A graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development since 1997 and a founder member of GB Learning Consultancy, Mandy is a skilled organisational development specialist with impressive experience of training and staff development. She has an MSc in Human Resource Development and a research interest in organisational learning. She is an experienced manager and has worked both in adult education and the National Probation Service, latterly as the Regional Management Development Manager for the South East of England.

Mandy's many achievements include steering
a Probation Service to Investors in People accreditation, launch of management development programmes at both local and regional levels, and accreditation of a regional mentoring programme via the Open College. She was programme manager for the SE Probation Region’s Institute of Leadership Level 4 management diploma programme and has also lectured on a CIPD programme. In addition to the above, she is a trained EFQM Excellence Model assessor.
Jim Gritton

A linguist and probation officer originally by training, Jim enjoyed a successful career as a manager before embarking on a new role as a freelance management consultant, trainer and more recently co-founder of GB Learning Consultancy. He has substantial experience of organisational change and development, underpinned by 13 years’ experience as a manager in both middle and senior management roles in one of the highest performing probation services in the country. During this time he led a variety of operational and corporate support functions, including community supervision, prisons and resettlement, risk assessment, business planning, quality and performance, continuous improvement, IT, human resources, staff development, and diversity.

Jim's experience is complemented by strong academic credentials which include a BA in German, an MA in Applied Social Studies and an MBA. He has a special interest in futures studies and has carried out research into scenario planning in the public sector, both in the UK and Norway. He is an experienced user of the EFQM Excellence Model and a trained assessor. He is also an accredited Inventory of Leadership Styles practitioner. He has been published on a number of occasions and is currently pursuing an MSc in e-Learning at Edinburgh University.
