Each of our coaching solutions below can be offered as standalone interventions, but they are also offered on a “pick ‘n’ mix” basis. If a bespoke solution is required or one that deviates from the options shown below, we are happy to provide a more customised service that better meets your needs.

One-off coaching session for individuals

We offer a targeted 2-hour coaching session to address a specific performance or learning need identified by the organisation or the individual concerned.

Performance coaching programme

Although we offer one-off coaching sessions, eg to reflect or focus on a specific issue, our experience tells us that individuals tend to gain more benefit from a “SMART” coaching programme that comprises 6 sessions over a 6-9 month period, where learning can be defined, applied and then evaluated. The programme includes:
  • Use of diagnostic tools to assess learning needs
  • Negotiated learning contract vis-a-vis personal development needs and key goals
  • Use of assessment questionnaire to identify preferred learning style
  • Personalised development plan outlining outcomes and format
  • Learning log
  • Learning pack
  • Delivery of 6 x 2-hour coaching sessions

Group/peer coaching

What busy managers need doesn’t always come in a textbook and is not always best provided in a traditional one-to-one coaching environment. It is often experiential and gained by solving real issues and problems. In our experience, group/peer coaching is a powerful and cost-effective medium for bringing about performance improvement. This is because people retain much more of what they learn when they participate actively and share experience, knowledge and insights with peer colleagues.

Our approach to group/peer coaching has some similarities with action learning, but it differs inasmuch as we operate a structured model of intervention, delivered through a pragmatic, highly participative half-day group “workshop”, that uses case-study as the main vehicle for deductive learning. Learning needs are identified by participants in advance of the workshop and these are then integrated in a realistic, tailor-made or carefully selected case study.

The rationale for using case studies is that they parallel real life situations inasmuch as all the information the manager might like to have before making a decision is invariably never available. By and large, there are no simple solutions or perfect answers to the problems or dilemmas presented in case studies. In this respect they mirror real life, but they also provide a safe opportunity to use active experimentation to solve a real problem, with none of the attendant pains associated with making the wrong decision.

Following work on the case study, there is a facilitated discussion forum where learners raise real issues and problems that they are facing in the organisation. These issues are then discussed and worked through. Participants are encouraged to tap the knowledge and expertise of their peer colleagues and of course the facilitator, and to share personal experience and best practice. At the end of the group “workshop”, all participants depart with an action plan that they can implement to tackle their own particular work-based issue(s). This approach can be used for a group of individual managers, or for a team.

Executive coaching programme Executive coaching programme

Leadership in the top ranks can often be lonely. It can be difficult to get unbiased feedback and to have a confidential sounding board. Regardless of level, everyone can benefit from improving their leadership skills, but without feedback from others on impact, areas of strength and development, it can be difficult to sustain success. Many senior leaders choose to work with an external executive coach in order to achieve specific goals, a desired business result, or healthier and more productive relationships with those around them.

Throughout a series of confidential face-to-face sessions, our executive coach will aim to build your leadership ability, as well as your influencing, listening and communication skills so that you can further strengthen relationships with colleagues and direct reports and maximise impact in your role. Our coach will also provide unbiased feedback and address blind spots in an honest and truthful way. If you feel you would benefit from executive coaching, please contact us.
