In 2004/2005, we were commissioned by the Home Office to develop a series of open learning workbooks for leaders and managers across the National Probation Service. Each workbook introduced learners to key theoretical concepts, including relevant models and frameworks, and a series of brief tasks. Complementary 2-day workshops were also developed to support each of the modules.
This involved writing all course materials, designing learning packs for facilitators, writing bespoke case studies and producing PowerPoint presentations. We were also contracted to design and develop a suite of 14 practical management skills workshops for first line and more experienced middle managers, which were eventually produced on CD ROM and rolled out nationally.
All desktop publishing is undertaken by our in-house design team using Adobe InDesign CS2 and Acrobat 7.0 Professional.
